The Asia Mobilisation Network (AMN) exists to equip mission mobilisers in order to catalyze Christians across Asia and the world moving them towards their most strategic role in the Great Commission. We nurture this purpose through:
Visionary ideas for mobilising the Church that may be different than what has been historically done.
A biblical relationship with Jesus and an understanding of God’s heart to be worshiped by every tribe, tongue and nation.
Collaborative community knowing that working together is far more fruitful.
Inclusive relationship realizing there is wisdom and expert contribution from mobilizers all over the world.
Our Purpose
The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the highest expression of God’s desire to save people from every tribe, tongue and nation so that the peoples might turn from their false gods to know the true and living God. (Rev. 5:1-9) Those who know and love Jesus are often ignorant of, or forget this highest ambition of God. Andrew Murray, a pastor from South Africa stated, “The work of missions is the chief purpose of the church. It is the ultimate goal for which every congregation – and consequently every believer – exists.” The Church has been given the unique honor and noble task of ‘discipling all nations” (Matt. 28:19). The mobilizer is the one who God calls to come alongside the Church as its servant to sometimes inform and sometimes remind the believer of this great honor and to help the follower of Jesus discover and connect with their most strategic role. Jesus said “I will build my Church” and He has chosen to use His Church to for that objective. All Christians have a role to play. The purpose of the Asia Mobilization Network is to equip the mobiliser for the work of this mobilising ministry to the Asian Church.
Our Leadership Structure
The AMN is lead by mobilization leaders from a variety of ministries and geographical locations. These volunteers from Nurisa, OM, Via, Lausanne, the Malaysian Baptists and others willingly give of their time and energy to see that the vision and purpose of the network is fulfilled. The AMN leaders are committed to modeling the values of the network to work in collaboration and unity for the growth of all gospel-centered, mission mobilization ministries.
Core Values
The “Mission” is God’s – We believe that the mission given to the Church to disciple all nations originates from God alone and He continues to be sovereign over His mission. The heart of this truth is communicated throughout the Bible and is clearly stated in the 5 recordings of the “Great Commission” found in Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20 and Acts 1.
God Commissioned the Whole Church – Every member of Christ’s Church is commissioned to engage with discipling the nations. Missions is for every follower of Jesus and the role of the mobiliser is to help them live out their individual calling.
The Local Church is Primary to the Mission Strategy – We believe that the local church is the central strategy for reaching the nations as taught in Scripture.
Collaboration and Unity – As mission mobilisers we value collaborative partnership to better serve the greater Body of Christ and to humbly give of our talents for unity in gospel ministry. We honor and recognize diversity in missions and ministry methods acknowledging that God designs variety for furthering the influence of the gospel.
Innovation – mobilisers are encouraged to evaluate their message and methodology frequently and continually evaluate what and how they are communicating. A willingness to adapt and adjust is often necessary in order to effectively mobilise among a variety of generations, cultures and ministry contexts.
